Our Studios and Equipment

Our facilities include a state-of-the-art hotshop with four benches and two 400lb electric furnaces, a spacious cold shop with an extensive array of modern cold-working equipment, a flame-working studio with 13 benches and lathe, a fabrication studio outfitted to support several welding and metal finishing processes, and (eventually) a selection of equipment for kiln casting, fusing, and slumping. The UC San Diego Glass Center is open to everyone, prioritizing accessibility and cultivating a relaxed, welcoming environment for all.
