Custom Creative Experiences

The Glass Center can help you create a one-of-a-kind experience for you and your group. Great for team building, clubs, social groups, or other private events! Designed by professional artists at the Glass Center, participants are invited to de-stress, immerse themselves in the process of being creative, and enjoy the opportunity to make an artifact or art object by hand. Please note, for scheduling purposes, workshops require 2-3 weeks advance notice. The minimum number of participants is 4 guests for glass blowing and 6 guests for Fused Glass or Flameworking.

A 50% non-refundable deposit for larger groups is required 15 days prior to your event.

Custom Creative Experience Options:

Group Make-Your-Own Glass Blowing Experience

For groups of 8 or fewer, we offer a one-on-one hands-on glass blowing experience for each participant. The cost is $125 per person. Each participant can choose to make a cup, bowl, paperweight, or stemless wineglass and pick two colors to work with. Each person works for 30 min. A minimum of 4 participants and a max group of 8 takes two hours in total.

Live Glass Blowing Demo + Stamping Molten Glass Activity

For larger groups, we offer a live narrated glass blowing demonstration and activity where each participant gets to stamp molten glass into a medallion. For a fee ($150), we can fabricate a custom bronze stamp with an image or logo related to your department or event. Depending on the size of the group and the custom stamp option, this activity costs between $350 and $700 in total. It takes between 1 and 2 hours depending on the group size, Max 40 people.

Fused Glass Tile Project

Using a colorful array of provided glass pieces and embellishments, participants will create an abstract or representational design of their choice and adhere it onto a 4”x 4” glass base “canvas”. Each piece will be fired in a glass kiln and ready to hang or display it the following week! This workshop takes 1.5-2 hours and costs $85 per person for groups of 10 or more, and $80 per person for groups of 6-9.

Flame Working Pendant Workshop

For groups of up to 12 people, we offer a hands-on workshop where participants learn to make a series of simple colorful borosilicate glass forms including a wearable pendant. All material and tools are included. The cost is $120 per person, and it takes 3 hours.
